The inhibition of virulence factors production in Pseudomonasaeruginosaby Oceanobacillus sp.

Abstract

In order to investigate the virulence factors inhibition of Oceanobacillus sp.XC22919in
wild strain Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PAO1)which were regulated by quorum sensing system
and the inhibitory effect,PAO1was used to test the virulence factors inhibition activity of crude
extract of Oceanmbacillus sp.XC22919 without affecting the growth of PAO1.The results
showed that the highest inhibition rate of pyocyanin,elastase,azocasein,biofilm formation in
PAO1was 31%,30%,18%and 15%,respectively.The result indicated that the crude extract
of Oceanobacillus sp.XC22919could inhibit the virulence factors of PAO1and suggested that
XC22919has good potential in screening quorum sensing inhibitors.The results were helpful for
the study of new antibiotics.
